Grow a Garden Pets β€”
All Pets, Values & Tier List

By GardenCalc Team · Last Updated: · ⚑ Verified current GAG patch

Grow a Garden pets are valued by breed tier and hatch weight. Super Giant pets β€” those hatching above nine kilograms β€” are worth 300 to 500 percent more than average weight. Hatch weight is calculated using The GAG Pet Hatch Weight Formula: Wh equals eleven times base weight divided by age plus ten.

Selecting a breed auto-fills the typical base weight β€” you can edit it.

All Grow a Garden Pets β€” Complete Tier List

The Grow a Garden pet tier list ranks every current pet from S-Tier (highest Sheckle value) to D-Tier (lowest). Tier determines the base Sheckle value before weight multipliers are applied. At equivalent Super Giant weight, higher-tier pets command proportionally more Sheckles β€” but a Super Giant D-Tier pet can still outvalue a Tiny S-Tier pet due to the weight multiplier system.

Tier rank describes rarity and base value potential β€” not what a specific pet is worth in a specific trade. A D-Tier pet at Super Giant weight can outvalue a B-Tier pet at average weight. Tier sets the floor. Weight multiplies through it. See the complete pet values guide for weight multipliers and Sheckle estimates by tier and weight.

The GAG Pet Hatch Weight Formula β€” All Breeds

Every Grow a Garden pet uses the same hatch weight formula: Wh = (11 Γ— Wb) Γ· (A + 10). Wh is hatch weight in kilograms. Wb is the egg's base weight. A is the pet's age in days at hatching. Age 0 produces maximum weight β€” 110 percent of base weight. Each additional day reduces hatch weight by approximately 9 percent.
Universal formula β€” applies to every GAG pet
Wh = (11 Γ— Wb) Γ· (A + 10)

Example: 5 kg egg hatched at age 0 β†’ (11 Γ— 5) Γ· (0 + 10) = 5.5 kg (Large tier). Same egg at age 5 β†’ (11 Γ— 5) Γ· (5 + 10) = 3.67 kg (Average tier).

S-Tier Pets β€” Jandel, Raiju & Kitsune

The three S-Tier Grow a Garden pets β€” Jandel, Raiju, and Kitsune β€” command the highest consistent Sheckle values in current trading. All share the same Super Giant threshold at 9 kg. Kitsune carries a unique ceiling: the Harmonized Foxfire Chakra mutation (190Γ—), exclusive to Kitsune, creates a value ceiling that neither Jandel nor Raiju can reach.
S-Tier Β· Most Traded

Jandel

19,000 monthly searches β€” highest liquidity of any GAG pet. Super Giant Jandel is the practical S-Tier benchmark for most traders.

Raiju

8,400 monthly searches. Comparable value to Jandel at matched weight tiers. Slightly lower liquidity β€” faster for the right buyer.

Kitsune

A-Tier Pets β€” Albino Tarantula & Firefly Axolotl

A-Tier Grow a Garden pets sit below S-Tier in baseline Sheckle value but above B-Tier. At Super Giant weight, A-Tier pets achieve trade values that overlap with Giant-weight S-Tier pets β€” making weight the equaliser across tier boundaries.
A-Tier

Albino Tarantula

Visual rarity reinforces A-Tier position. At Super Giant weight, trades in the upper A-Tier range.

Firefly Axolotl

Bioluminescent visual appeal drives consistent collector demand above standard Axolotl value.

B-Tier Pets β€” Headless Horseman & Cockatrice

B-Tier Grow a Garden pets are seasonal or uncommon event pets. Their Sheckle value is driven by event scarcity combined with weight. When events close, supply is fixed β€” creating predictable long-term price floors.
B-Tier

Headless Horseman

Halloween-event exclusive. Value tied to event recurrence β€” holds price in off-season.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the best pets in Grow a Garden?

The best pets in Grow a Garden by Sheckle value are the three S-Tier breeds: Jandel, Raiju, and Kitsune. Kitsune has the highest potential ceiling due to the Harmonized Foxfire Chakra mutation (190Γ—). At equivalent Super Giant weight, all three achieve the highest Sheckle values in the game. For trading speed, Jandel is the best choice β€” it has the highest monthly search volume at 19,000 and the most active buyer pool.

What is the Super Giant threshold in Grow a Garden?

The Super Giant threshold in Grow a Garden is any hatch weight above 9 kilograms β€” universal across all pet breeds. Super Giant pets command 300 to 500 percent more Sheckles than the same breed at average weight. Reaching Super Giant requires two conditions: a high base-weight egg and early hatching β€” ideally age 0 β€” to produce 110 percent of base weight.

How is pet value calculated in Grow a Garden?

Pet value in Grow a Garden is calculated using The GAG Pet Value Framework: Trade Value = Tier Baseline Γ— Weight Tier Multiplier Γ— Mutation Multiplier. Tier sets the Sheckle floor. Weight tier (Tiny through Super Giant) multiplies that floor by up to 5Γ—. Active mutations multiply the result further. All three factors are multiplicative, not additive.

Do all pets use the same hatch weight formula?

Yes β€” all Grow a Garden pets use the same hatch weight formula: Wh = (11 Γ— Wb) Γ· (A + 10). The formula is universal across every breed. What differs between breeds is the Sheckle baseline applied to the resulting weight, determined by tier. You can apply the same calculator to any pet without breed-specific adjustments.

Can pets have mutations in Grow a Garden?

Yes β€” Grow a Garden pets can receive mutations through standard hatching. Mutations apply an additional multiplier to the pet's value on top of the weight tier multiplier. The Harmonized Foxfire Chakra mutation available on Kitsune applies 190Γ—, making it the highest single-type mutation multiplier for any pet in the game. Mutation stacking is multiplicative: Final Value = Base Γ— M1 Γ— M2.
